Olha Dondyk started her conducting path in Kyiv and currently studies in Cologne in the class of Alexander Rumpf. She took part in the musical Kai and Gerda by A. Bondarenko as an assistant conductor at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine. In 2022, as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine began, she fled to Germany and, thanks to support of the people she met, continued her artistic path. Alongside her studies, she joins the fight on the cultural front with numerous concerts that introduce Ukrainian music to German audiences. As an assistant conductor, Olha participated in the production of Hans Krasa’s children’s opera Brundibar in Leipzig.
