The first concert of the Diversità series – Paris Mozart Orchestra, Claire Gibault, Rebecca Tong, Maria João Pires

The first concert of the Diversità series, offered as part of the Academy La Maestra program, will be broadcast on Monday March 15th at 8:30 pm on Philharmonie Live and our Facebook page. This project is the result of a desire to celebrate diversity in music by highlighting musicians from different backgrounds.

To inaugurate the Diversità project, the Paris Mozart Orchestra and its founder, Claire Gibault, share the stage with Rebecca Tong, winner of the first edition of the La Maestra Competition. The great Portuguese pianist Maria João Pires is also on the program for this exceptional concert.

The evening’s programme is also varied and eclectic. Mozart is in the limelight with his Piano Concerto No. 20 and Symphony No. 25. We will also hear Bartók’s Divertimento and humus, a work by Alexandra Grimal commissioned by the Paris Mozart Orchestra and the Philharmonie de Paris.
