After several days of counting, it is with great joy that we can announce that La Maestra 2022 Competition has received 202 applications!

Conductors from all over the world answered the call: Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa and Oceania, with no less than 48 countries represented.

With applicants aged 21 to 71 and an average age of 35.5, we are more than ever convinced of the interest of not having imposed an age limit on the Competition when it was created in 2019. It is a great pride for La Maestra to represent talented women of all origins and ages!

The Selection Committee will now gather and carefully study each candidature in order to select the 14 nominees who will participate in the final rounds on 3-6 March 2022 at the Philharmonie de Paris. We will reveal the names of these 14 candidates on 24 September!
