As part of La Maestra Academy, the Philharmonie de Paris and Paris Mozart Orchestra have teamed up with Marin Alsop’s Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship to put together a series of 12 monthly online professional sessions exclusively devised for the new generation of talented women conductors selected by La Maestra Competition and the Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship.
These sessions will look at many subjects, including “how to create your own ensemble”, “how to deal with crisis”, “conductors’ relationships with their musicians”, “the role of the orchestral leader”, “how to perform Haydn and Mozart with modern instruments” etc with a star line-up of speakers including world-famous conductors, top orchestral managers, sought-after agents etc.
These monthly online sessions will last 1h30, with 2 speakers interacting with each other for 1h, followed by Q&A.
