Manon Lepauvre began her musical training by studying the flute, notably through the “orchestre à l’école” programme, before joining the conservatories in Laval and in the 9th arrondissement in Paris .
She quickly developed an interest in composition, initially studying with Marco Suarez.
From 2014 to 2018, she continued her training with Martin Matalon at the Conservatoire d’Aubervilliers. During this time, she wrote scores for solo instruments and small ensembles.
At the same time, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in music and musicology at the University of Rennes II, a Master’s degree in music and sound creation at the University of Paris XVIII, and took part in two composition academies, CompoLab and the Barcelona International Composition Course.
In 2018 she was admitted at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon (CNSMDL) in Martin Matalon’s class, where she also studied with Jean Geoffroy, Michele Tadini and François Roux, obtaining her undergraduate diploma in 2021. While in Lyon, she composed several pieces for various ensembles, which were performed at the CNSMDL.
In 2021 she joins the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP) to complete her Masters in instrumental composition (under Frédéric Durieux) and in New Technologies applied to composition (under Yan Maresz, Luis Naon and Grégoire Lorieux).
Since 2019, she has received regular commissions from French ensembles such as Compagnie Cadéëm, Sillages, Multilatérale, Écoute, 2E2M, Le Concert Impromptu, the Æolina Quartet, the Paris Mozart Orchestra and the Association des Amis de la Philharmonie de Paris.
In 2023-2024, she will be studying composition and computer music at IRCAM.
